Yesterday a group of us from the Sobral Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church traveled to Fortaleza to attend the Ordination of our Pastor, Gilberto Gilson Theiss. It was an incredible experience to see he and his wife reach this milestone in their ministry and their dream of spreading the word of God to others.
The laying on of hands is a symbolic act that takes place during a prayer of dedication by all of the ordained pastors present surrounding the pastors receiving ordination. It is done in show of support and dedicating their ministry to the service of God. An act that is recorded throughout the Bible signifying the giving of a blessing and of being chosen as a leader.
I pray that God will bless Pr Gilberto in his ministry.
