Melissa Otto
I met Australian Singer/Songwriter Melissa Otto when she was on a concert tour through Brazil and came to our church here in Sobral, Ceará to sing. The next day we headed to Lagoa do Paraíso at the famed Jijoca de Jericoacoara Beach to make the images for her upcoming CD The Journey Home.    Melissa Otto Website

Dr. Pastor Gerson Pires de Araujo is my wife’s grandfather and a very knowledgeable man. He asked me for a picture for his book entitled Porque Creio no Credo (Because I Believe in the Creed). Looking through my archives I came across this one of a catholic church in California that fit perfectly. Click here to download a digital copy of the book in ePub format or pdf format.

I was contracted for a few photos for the header of the Andy’s Market website. They are a small grocery store in Walla Walla, Washington, that carries a lot of bulk health foods. So following the theme of the store I photographed a series of bulk type candies, grains, herbs, nuts & pastas.

I was able to sell the images I made of Zyndoa Restaurant, for the restaurant review section of The Hook, to them for their website.

Website ZynodoaI took this image of the grand staircase at the Opus One Winery in California’s Napa Valley during the Architectural Photography course at Pacific Union College. The following year I entered the image into Petersen’s PhotoGraphic Magazine’s Monthly Contest ‘Architecture’ and to my pleasure, I won grand prize. It still is to this day, one of my favorite images.

Video Projects

During the summer of 1999 a group of Digital Media students from Pacific Union College went to Fiji to create a video mission report on the progress of a small school at Vatuvonu. We received internship credit towards our degree in video production. I took on editing the project as my Senior Degree Project. I returned by myself to Fiji to capture some updates and stock footage the following summer then upon returning, I edited approximately 100 hours of video footage and interviews in to a 32 minute final project. The video then was circulated through many churches and raised a lot of money for the school. It was one of rewarding experiences in my life. Thanks to Stephen Arrington and the Dream Machine Foundation. The video can be seen here.

In 2004 Amazing Facts Inc. in Rocklin, California hired me to draw the storyboards for their upcoming The Final Events of Bible Prophecy DVD. I stayed on after that wearing many different hats. During production, I was the Set Photographer as well as an extra. During post-production, I was the Post Production Assistant and worked with Visual Effects, i.e. 3D Animation, Compositing, Keying etc.

Final Events

In 2007 I was contracted to be the Set Photographer for a small production by Enzyme Productions entitled [Re:]ally. It can be seen here.
