While in Maranhão we spent several days swimming in the clear rivers nearby. This little flower was tucked away under a bridge that we were swimming by. Day one it was late afternoon and the flower was in the shade. Day two just before 10 AM the sun was just hitting the flower and leaf dropping the background in the shadow of the bridge. Wading in the water up to my waist I made this image.
