I have just returned from 12 amazing days in Bonito, Campo Grande and Falls Iguaçu, and was unable to get this image uploaded. So here it is a week late, but I think well worth the wait.
I think the Arara, Macaw, I one of the most beautiful birds ever. They are large and their colors are so bright, its just awe inspiring to see this large streak of bright color fly across the sky. This particular bird had just landed at Sophie’s feet startling her, then turned and flew low to the ground straight past me. WOW! How magnificent!
