On our cross country drive after surviving the excruciating drive through west Texas we jumped up to Carlsbad Caverns, in New Mexico. It was such a beautiful day and on our way in and out of the park we were greeted with a Peccary family and a herd of Desert bighorn sheep respectively. Inside the cave the elevator was not working for the day so we got our exercise hiking down to the big room and back to the top. Well worth the hike though. Beautiful! (Low light without a tripod… tricky)
