This last Sunday, I woke up about 4:30am and started out for the Pedra Furada for sunrise. It was a nice brisk morning but walking quickly I built up some warmth. Walking the path up the mountain to is side I startled a sleeping donkey who jumped just about as big as I did. It was a perfect high tide with the sun lighting the clouds and sky, but leaving the rock and crashing waves in shadow. Using a 0.9 ND filter and a gold filter I was able to slow my shutter down to 10 seconds while maintaining an aperture of f/22 to have a nicely focused image with long waves blurs. It was such a peaceful morning, well worth the early hour.
